John Rocker is a retired American MLB relief pitcher who previously played for the Atlanta Braves (1998-2001), Cleveland Indians (2001), Texas Rangers (2002) and the Tampa Bay Devil Rays (2003).

Celebrity DeathmatchEdit

Rocker was involved in a deathmatch with New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter, who was shown to be much more popular with fans than Rocker was.

Outside of Celebrity DeathmatchEdit

As a relief pitcher, Rocker became a controversial figure in baseball for his behavior, especially remarks regarding his experiences in New York City in 1999 as well as fans of the Mets in general.

Rocker also competed in Survivor: San Juan del Sur, the 29th season of the reality game show Survivor where he competed along with his girlfriend Julie McGee. Rocker was ultimately the third person voted out of the game and similarly to his baseball antics, he received criticism after commenting to contestant Natalie Anderson that he would knock her teeth out if she was a man after calling him a racist and a bigot when learning about his comments regarding New York.
